| From 7th to 11th Sep. 2010, once again the International Summer School will take place at the University of Bielefeld. This year's event is entitled "Health Issues in Humanitarian Crises". As a highlight, there is a practical demonstration exercise - for further information take a look at "IPH - International Summer School - Summer School 2010".
From Feb. to Apr. 2010, five students from Bielefeld University (Eva Berens, Miriam, Romy, Maren and Olivia) participated in classes at JNU and continued the project on maternal health they started together with JNU students in Bielefeld in Nov. 2009 (see below). From 3rd to 5th March, 2010, Professor Oliver Razum delivered lectures on Epidemiology at JNU and National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi |
The Department of Epidemiology & International Public Health (AG3) established a University partnership with Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi/India, and Baskent University in Ankara/Turkey.
The partnership is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and aimed to strengthen teaching in International Public Health at the three universities. We like to thank the DAAD for continuing to support financially.
In 2009 the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology in Kerala/India and the University of Maiduguri in Maiduguri/Borno State/Nigeria accrued to this partnership.
This website is a Wiki. It provides a working space, primarily for Public Health students in India, Turkey, Nigeria and Germany. They have jointly developed, and are continuously developing, both the structure and the content of these pages. This website is a dynamic working space which reflects ongoing debates, new activities and term projects by students at the five universities. You are invited to contribute to the discussions! If you are new to the concept of writing articles in a wiki please have a look at the User Guide.
