Welcome to the

International Public Health Partnership

between universities in India, Turkey, Nigeria and Germany

Welcome...

A "Closing and Evaluation Workshop" will take place from 14th to 17th November 2012 in Antalya, Turkey, and will be the final event in 2012.
From 26th to 30th March 2012 the annual International Summer School took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. This year's event was entitled as "Contextualising Social Determinants of Health".
The International Public Health lecture series, 2011 was organized at the JNU, Delhi (1 and 2 March, 2011) and at the SCT, Trivandrum (3 and 4th March, 2011).

The Department of Epidemiology & International Public Health (AG3) established a University partnership
with Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi/India, and Baskent University in Ankara/Turkey. In 2009 the
Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology in Kerala/India and the University of Maiduguri
in Maiduguri/Borno State/Nigeria accrued to this partnership. The partnership is financially supported by the
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and aimed to strengthen teaching in International Public Health
at the three universities as well as to enhance the international educational exchange of students and lecturers
among them.
We like to thank the DAAD for the continuous financial support.

This website is a Wiki. It provides a working space, primarily for Public Health students in India, Turkey, Nigeria and Germany. Both the structure and the content of these pages have jointly developed, and are continuously developing. This website is a dynamic platform which reflects ongoing debates, new activities and term projects by students at the five universities. You are invited to contribute to the discussions! If you are new to the concept of writing articles in a wiki please have a look at the User Guide.
